A motorcyclist is in critical condition in hospital after being involved in a horror road crash with three HGV's.
Police are appealing for dashcam footage after the four vehicle smash on the A725 in Bellshill.
The incident happened at around 12.25pm on Wednesday, March 8, southbound at the slip road for Hamilton Road, Bellshill.
Emergency services attended and the 56-year-old male rider of the motorbike was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where his condition is described as critical but stable. No one else was injured.
The road was closed for road crash investigation work and recovery causing major gridlock for several hours before re-opening at around 11.30pm.
Road policing officer David Murdoch said: “Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances relating to this crash are ongoing and we are appealing for information.
“In particular we are asking for anyone with dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation to come forward.
“If you can assist please call us on 101, quoting incident number 1328 of Wednesday, 8 March, 2023.”
