A biker was rushed to hospital after an early morning crash which caused his machine to split in two.
Emergency services raced to Barnsford Road at the back of Glasgow Airport, in Paisley, around 8.30am this morning.
It is understood that a 34-year-old biker came off his machine in a terrifying accident that left his bike in two pieces.

The front wheel of the motorbike remained in the middle of the road while police closed off the road in both directions between St James Interchange and Walkinshaw Road.
The road was closed for several hours while traffic cops established the circumstances of the collision.
A source told the Express: “Initially when I heard it was a crash I figured someone had gone into the back of someone queuing at the traffic lights.
“But once I looked up I spotted one of the motorbike’s wheels was further down the road and the bike had stopped in the grass embankment.
“Paramedics rushed to help the man but he didn’t look in a good way.
“The biker is seen every morning around the same time so I figured he must work in the area or at least near to the airport.”
The biker's condition is said to be "serious but stable" and there were no other vehicles involved.
Police confirmed a 34-year-old male was taken to hospital following the accident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.35am on Tuesday police were called to a report of a two vehicle road crash on Barnsford Road.
“Police attended and a 34-year-old man has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
