This is the shocking moment a motor was engulfed in flames in a Scots Asda car park.
Emergency services raced to the Superstore in Milton, Dundee, after the alarm was raised at around 1.30pm on Sunday. Shocking footage taken by stunned shoppers showed a silver Peugeot ablaze.
Locals were seen watching on as crews tackled the huge fire with flames seen shooting out of the vehicle. Meanwhile, massive plumes of smoke could be seen billowing up into the sky.
The vehicle was parked near several other cars but firefighters thankfully battled the flames before they spread.
Pictures taken later on Sunday showed the burnt out shell of the motor sitting in the car park completely destroyed.
The incident came at a busy time for shoppers on Sunday afternoon, but thankfully it's understood no one was injured as a result.
The cause of the blaze is so far unclear. Police Scotland confirmed they were called at around 1.55pm to assist fire crews, however no further involvement was required from officers.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 1.30pm on Sunday, November 20 to reports of a car on fire at Milton of Craigie Road North, Dundee.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to extinguish the fire and make the area safe. There were no reported casualties."
