Motherwell boss Steven Hammell says he's focused on his own side and not how Rangers will react to their Champions League annihilation by Liverpool in midweek.
The Ibrox side visit Fir Park for Sunday's live Sky Sports clash off the back of a brusing 7-1 defeat at home to the English Premier League giants on Wednesday night.
But Hammell says it won't have any bearing on how his team approach the match, as they aim to get back to winning ways themselves after a 1-0 defeat away to Hibs last weekend.
He said: “It’s not a result they [Rangers] will be used to being on the end of but we can’t control the way they react to that.
"What we can do is be as prepared as we possibly can be, which we've done. We've still got a few things to fine tune but we will be as ready as we can be.
"The focus, as always, is how we can bring the best version of us on a matchday.
"Our confidence is good. We've seen a lot of positive things individually and, collectively, we've been progressing. I don't think the points we've got on the board reflect that but I imagine most teams would say the same things.
“Every team we play while I am here, we will look at how to beat the opposition and that won’t change.
“We can’t control how they react or how they have dealt with things since that but what we can do is control what we’ve got here and how we approach the game.
"We will be prepared and as organised as we can be.
"It's our first game with that exposure [of live TV in the league this season] and it's a chance to enchance your reputation. These games we've got this week coming are the game to go and do that in.
"Putting a positive performance and result together will only help that.
"It's a great one and something the players should be relishing."
Meanwhile, Hammell has pleaded for patience with striker Louis Moult, who hasn't found paak fitness and has made most of his appearances for the Steelmen from the bench since arriving on loan from Burton Albion on deadline day.
Moult was the undoing of Rangers on occasion in his first stint in ML1 - most notably the 2017 League Cup semi-final - and fans would love to see him get a crack at Rangers up front with in-form Dutch striker Kevin van Veen.
"Nobody wants to see Louis playing and starting for us more than me," said Hammell.
"It's not been ideal, we've wanted to get him involved more but that's not been able to happen yet.
"We hope that will change and we can get more out of him soon. He's someone who scores goals and what we have seen of him so far shows that.
"Hopefully we can start to see a little bit more of him.
"Patient is probably the right word for it. It would be good to work with him and Kevin. It will give us a different dynamic to our team. We will see that at some point and hopefully it is not too long before we see that."
This week it was announced VAR will come into operation in the Premiership later this month.
It won't be able to help the Steelmen on Sunday, with next week's clash with Aberdeen the one where VAR will make its debut, but Hammell is happy to see it arrive.
He said: "It's good that it is coming in. I've still got my own reservations about it personally. I feel it should have actually been in at the start of a new campaign, but if it is ready to go great. We will see how it pans out.
"Everything is going to be highlighted and the microscope will be on certain scenarios, but I think our defending this season has been clean.
"We've won a few penalties and been on the end of a few bad decisions. Hopefully it is a positive for us going forward."
