Motherwell striker Connor Shields has joined Queen's Park officially on a loan deal until the end of this season.
The 26-year-old from Coatbridge has experience in the Championship with Queen of the South, where he scored 11 goals in 26 games in 2020/21, before moving to Fir Park in May.
Ambitious Queen's Park are bidding for the Championship title and sit top of the league, a point ahead of Ayr United, who they host on Friday night.
Shields told the Queen's Park website: "It's great to be here and I'm delighted to have joined the club.
"Looking in from the outside over the last couple of years, it's clear to see the ambitions the club have, and I'm delighted to finally get the deal done.
"I can't wait to help the club, starting on Friday against Ayr United."
Boss Owen Coyle said: "Connor is a quick player who can create and score goals, but he also works very hard for his team, which is an important element in the way we want to press.
"Connor has many teams that were interested and we are delighted that he wanted to come to us.
"We look forward to see him enjoying his football."
Shields made 24 appearances this season but has yet to score his first goal.
Boss Steven Hammell told the Motherwell website: "We had a discussion and came to the conclusion that a loan move would be in the best interests of both parries.
"I have no doubt Connor will impress in his time at Queen's Park and will play a big part in their promotion push this season.
"He is a hard-working individual who we will closely monitor while he is at Queen's Park."
