Motherwell defender Ricki Lamie is set to reject a pre-contract at Dundee and stay at Fir Park.
The former Livingston centre-back signed the agreement with the Dens Park club in January as time on his ML1 terms ticked down, subject to whether or not they secured Premiership safety.
They have been relegated to the Championship and a clause in that Dark Blues deal allows Lamie to walk away .
That has now been exercised and he'll 'pen an extension' with 'Well on a deal that runs until 2024, according to the Daily Record.
Fir Park boss Graham Alexander was keen to keep him at Fir Park and now has his wish granted after a fifth place finish in the 2021/22 term clinched Europa Conference League football.
Lamie headed in the goal that sealed top six placement during a 2-2 draw with Livingston and then netted the winner during their 2-1 victory against Hearts, confirming European action.
He joined the club in 2020 from Livi and overall has appeared 70 times, contributing to 10 goals over his two seasons.
