Motherwell's Bullfrog pub destroyed after deliberate fire rips through building

A beloved Motherwell bar has been left in tatters after a raging inferno tore through it yesterday afternoon.

The Bullfrog pub was a long-time favourite of ex Celtic star Kieran Tierney, however, it has now been left in ruin after the building was deliberately set alight at around 3.45pm on Sunday.

Plumes of smoke billowed high above the venue, which had been shut for five months due to rising costs, as the inferno continued to rage.

Four fire appliances were needed to calm the flames and make the scene safe.

Now the empty shell, which is currently up for sale, stands as a shadow of it's former self with the roof and windows caved in.

Police are currently carrying out an investigation after concluding the fire was 'wilful'.
