Graham Alexander has hailed the capture of Paul McGinn as he pinpointed some key attributes in the defender.
The 31-year-old has left Hibs to join Motherwell on a one-year deal. He made 34 appearances last season for the Easter Road outfit and picked up his first Scotland cap under Steve Clarke against Austria in September.
The full-back started his career at Queen's Park and came through the youth ranks before making his top team debut in 2009. After impressing for the Spiders, he earned a move to the Premiership with St Mirren three years later. He then moved to Dundee in 2014 before making the move south of the border to Chesterfield in 2016. He returned to Scotland 12 months later and has since turned out for Partick Thistle, St Mirren and Hibernian.
He will now begin a new chapter at Fir Park as he becomes the second summer signing with the Well gearing up for a European adventure.
The Steelmen take on the winners of Bala Town and Sligo Rovers in the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
Speaking about his new recruit, Alexander told Motherwell's official website: “We’re very happy that Paul has agreed to join us and add to our defensive options.
