Motherwell centre-back Darragh O'Connor has joined Championship club Queen of the South on loan until the end of the season.
The Irishman joined the Steelmen at the start of this season from English Premier League side Leicester City but has made just one Premiership appearance.
O'Connor has had injury setbacks in that time but now moves to Allan Johnston's Queen of the South until the summer.
'Well boss Graham Alexander has already sent highly-rated right-back Max Johnston to Palmerston while current first-team star Barry Maguire also had a loan at Queen's earlier in his career.
Born in London, the 22-year-old moved to Ireland where he played for Shamrock Rovers and Wexford before signing his first professional contract at Leicester City.
Johnston said: “Darragh is a committed centre half with a good attitude and huge potential.
"At over 6 foot he will add height to the defence. It’s an area within the team that we needed to strengthen so I’m delighted to have been able to get him in."
