Albion Rovers boss Brian Reid is delighted to have signed teenage defender Ewan Wilson on a loan deal from Motherwell for the rest of this season.
Wilson, 17, goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's League Two clash at Stranraer.
Boss Reid says he's looking at other options to try and bolster his squad, but is pleased with the acquisition of Wilson.
He said: "I've been actively trying to bring players in, he's a young prospect, so we're delighted to have him at the club.
"Hopefully he can come in, do well, and enjoy his time.
"We've had a few players from Motherwell who have done well here. The last one we had was big Corey O'Donnell, who did well for us, and in the time that he was here he played regular football.
"It's important for clubs like ourselves to have that kind of bond and relationship that we can tap in to, and it benefits all parties, so it's a good thing."
Reid added: "I'm working on another couple of things, and there's nothing certain as at this moment, but we're trying to add a few more if we can.
"We are a bit light on where we need to be, and it's something I've been working on for a long time, but hopefully we can get them in."
Motherwell boss Stevie Hammell is pleased to see the defender heading out for experience, and told the club's website: "Ewan has been making good progress and we now believe he’s ready to take the next step in his development.
"Albion Rovers has been an excellent destination over the years with the likes of Steven Lawless, Chris Cadden and others getting vital developmental experience at Cliftonhill.
“This will be a real solid challenge for Ewan and we wish him well.”
