Motherwell exit confirmed as forward latest to announce Fir Park exit

Jordan Roberts has announced his latest spell at Motherwell has come to a close.

The forward first joined the Steelmen on loan from Hearts in January 2021 and he impressed enough to return for the first half of this Premiership term.

A permanent six-month deal was awarded to him in the New Year after his Jambos deal was ripped up, but minutes have been limited.

Roberts has featured just four times since January and didn't feature in any of the last eight games, making 28 Motherwell appearances overall with five goals and three assists.

He has now confirmed his exit on social media as manager Graham Alexander gears his squad up for a Europa Conference League qualification campaign in July.

The 27-year-old said: "Thank you, Motherwell FC. Another spell at the club has come to an end.

"Thank you for the love and support throughout."

'Well have finished fifth in the Premiership during the 2021/22 season and Roberts joins centre-back Darragh O'Connor in announcing his exit as his contract expires.
