It's not where he perhaps expected to be at the start of the night - but Bevis Mugabi was happy with the shift he put in as a makeshift Motherwell forward.
Having started the 1-1 Premiership draw with St Mirren in his usual centre-back position, the Ugandan international was moved up to striker upon Alex Gogic's goal that put Saints ahead 10 minutes from time.
He made an impact too and watched Buddies goalkeeper Jak Alnwick deny an effort of his before Ross Tierney slammed home his first goal in claret and amber to take a point.
Motherwell haven't won a league game since the resumption of Premiership football post-winter break, but still remain fourth in the table.
Mugabi says it was an interesting end to his night to finish in attack: "It looks like I'm a striker now! It was very cool to go up top.
"To be fair, me and the gaffer have actually joked about me going up top. Then he actually put me up there! I feel like I did cause them a few problems.
"It was more important to just put them under pressure to try and get that equalising goal, which we eventually managed to get. It paid off.
"Ross coming into the team, he's getting used to the way we play. So it was nice for him to get his first goal with us. The late leveller is always nice for the fans."
Mugabi believes Motherwell were the better side overall against St Mirren. He's been an impressive performer for manager Graham Alexander this season, and his contract expires this summer.
Nothing has been signed and sealed yet, but Mugabi said: "I've had a few conversations (about his future). We will need to see what happens in the next couple of weeks.
"I felt we were the more dominant team from start to finish, personally. I can't really remember them having many shots on target other than the goal.
"I think it is two points lost for us to be honest. We feel we should have got three points but considering the circumstances, we're happy with a point away from home."
