Motherwell announce first Scottish pre-season friendly clash of the summer

Motherwell have announced their first pre-season fixture on Scottish soil will be against Partick Thistle at Firhill next month.

The clash will take place on Saturday, July 16, at 3pm.

Ian McCall's Jags finished fourth in the Championship last season, losing out in the Premiership play-off quarter-final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Graham Alexander's Motherwell will also be involved in friendly action against Austrian Second League side SK Vorwarts Steyr on July 8, during their stay at the Obertraun complex in Austria from July 3 to 10, as they prepare for the Europa Conference League and Premiership campaigns.

The Fir Park club say they will announce ticket information closer to the game.
