The mother of a 21-year-old aged care worker murdered in regional South Australia remains "tormented" by her death, a South Australian court has heard.

Rashpaul Kaur told the court in a victim impact statement that she was "tormented at the thought" of what her daughter, Jasmeen Kaur, endured in her final moments.

"I go through a terrible sequence of events, I wonder when she realised she was in mortal danger," the statement read.

"There was no-one to rescue her, she spent her last hour on this earth with the worst of humanity.

"Jasmeen is gone and I am heartbroken, she was a precious little girl."

Jasmeen was killed in South Australia's far north in March 2021, with her body found in a shallow grave in the Flinders Ranges, north of Hawker.

The aged care worker and nursing student was reported missing after working a shift at the Southern Cross Care aged care home in North Plympton, in Adelaide's southern suburbs.

Tarikjot Singh, 23, pleaded guilty to Jasmeen's murder in February.

Rashpaul Kaur said Singh was obsessed with Jasmeen, who refused him "one hundred times".

"She lost her life because Tarikjot wanted to forcibly marry and forcibly wanted to be in a relationship with her," she said.

Ms Kaur said she would never forgive Singh for what he had done.

"How can you value a human life so cheaply?" she said.

"I can't comprehend it.

"You treated my daughter like she was nothing and disposed of her as [if] she was rubbish."

Ms Kaur said the family would never be able to see their "sweet beautiful" Jasmeen again.

"We should be a family of four, and now we are a family of three," she said.

Jasmeen's brother, Sukhmanpreet Singh, and sister, Gurmanpreet Kaur, said they were "not even halfway through" their journey together and it had been taken away.

"How can you take her away from us? Take away her hopes and dreams and her life?" the pair said in their statement.

"Her future no longer exists.

"You have ruined so many lives, we can't comprehend how scared she would have been in her last moments of her life."

The matter returns to court in July.
