Most awkward moments and gaffes from King Charles' Coronation that saw fans distracted

Despite the long-awaited build up and meticulously planned preparations King Charles III's Coronation on Saturday featured a number of funny and awkward moments that raised fans eyebrows.

Everyone was watching King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla during the coronation in Westminster Abbey during a two-hour historic service, The Mirror reported.

Several big names among the 2,000-strong attendees got viewers distracted and unintentionally stole the show.

Katy Perry gets confused

US pop sensation Katy Perry, who performed at the Coronation Concert on Sunday evening was dressed in a striking baby pink number.

However, she left fans falling off their seats laughing for the wrong reasons.

Arriving at Westminster Abbey, she nearly fell to the floor as the heel on her white court shoes almost broke.

She accompanied British Vogue editor Edward Enninful on her stroll inside, with the California Gurls star struggling to locate her seat among the crowd.

She had to ask for help from those already seated.

Katy later took to online, tweeting: "Don't worry guys I found my seat".

Prince Andrew greeted with chorus of boos

Disgraced royal, Prince Andrew, was booed as he was driven past royalists down The Mall.

The Duke of York was let known the feelings of onlookers from the grandstand in front of Buckingham Palace.

He was not given a special role at the service.

Anne's hat

Prince Harry attended his father's coronation on his own as his wife Meghan Markle remained in California.

Princess Anne's flamboyant hat ended up blocking his view of proceedings.

The Duke of Sussex was seatedin the third row.

Once things began, noticed that poor Harry's face was being hideen from view by the red feathers, with some suggesting it may have been done on purpose.

'Cocky' bravado

Others claimed Prince Harry reportedly had a moment of "cocky bravado" as he arrived at the ceremony, a body language expert opined.

He used his dress sense to tell the world that he was "happy to be back" despite ongoing attacks on the royal family amid moving to the US for a new life with his wife.

Body language expert Judi James told The Mirror that viewers witnessed "an incredible return of the joker prince" as a grinning Harry arrived alongside royal cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Scary guest caught on screens

A 'Grim Reaper' like figure was captured on camera at the coronation.

The eerie figure, wearing the mythological characters notorious dark robes holding an item that looked like a scythe, was filmed crossing the threshold of the abbey.

Another pen incident

King Charles fell foul of another incident involving a fountain pen once again after last year's fiasco in Belfast.

When adding his signature to the oath in the abbey, it seemed the pen failed to work as intended.

Charles grimaced after putting the lid back on the pen.

The King is known to carry his own pen for when he is frequently asked to sign visitors' books during special visits.

An unsteady fit for the Queen

The new Queen was seen using her index finger to move her hair underneath the crown at least five times.

She then hoisted her hand and appeared to give the Archbishop of Canterbury some verbal help.

Prince Louis singing the National Anthem

Despite everyone watching the King and Queen, it was Prince Louis that stole the show.

The five-year-old was seen yawning and fidgeting, before accidentally singing 'God Save The Queen' for the National Anthem when the service came to an end.

He also went missing from the ceremony and wasn't seen next to his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales.
