Most and least expensive houses sold across Merseyside

The cheapest and most expensive homes sold across Merseyside in a three month period have been revealed.

According to the latest Land Registry data, for the three months to September 2022, the priciest home sold in Merseyside was on Crosby's Beach Lawn, arguably one of the region's most desirable locations.

Properties on the road were even home to the founder of the shipping company which launched the Titanic, as well as the captain of the doomed ship that never made it across the Atlantic. Elsewhere, just south of Sefton Park, a property known as 'The Nook' sold for £1.1m. It's located on Fulwood Park, a hidden gem nestled between Aigburth Road, Jericho Lane and Riverside Drive.

The house on Victoria Road sold for £1.05m, according to the latest data. Over the last year, properties there sold for an average of more than £2m, a massive 77% jump on the previous year.

Selling for a similar price, and located to the north of the city in Maghull, was a property on Foxhouse Lane. The road has a mix of properties, including sprawling period homes, terraces, bungalows and even apartments.

The hefty price tag is a far cry from the average of £240,167 over the last year.

An opulent Georgian house on Princes Road in L8 was the fifth most expensive property to sell between June and September, going for £885,000.

This house on Coral Street sold for just £40,000 (Google Street View)

The cheapest house to sell in the city is on Coral Street in Old Swan, selling for £40,000. The terraced property is just off Binns Road and close to Edge Lane.

The investment was a smart move from the buyer - according to Rightmove, properties on Coral Street have sold for an overall average price of £165,000 over the last year. The figures is a whopping 53% higher than the 2005 peak of £107,500.
