Celtic can be officially crowned champions at Tannadice but Rangers supporters are convinced nothing will steal their thunder.
The Ibrox men have got all eyes on Seville next week – and nicking all the credit.
John Bruce, Glasgow, said: “ Celtic fans no longer recognise the Old Firm game and call it the Glasgow Derby.
“Now that Rangers have blazed their way to the Celtic fans' hallowed mecca of Seville, will Celtic fans no longer recognise the city and have their 'Seville Wall' at Parkhead renamed the 'Spanish Wall’?”
George Wilson, West Sussex, said: “In a week when Celtic will be crowned league champions, all the talk everywhere is about Rangers.
“This includes amongst Celtic supporters who rather than celebrating their title triumph are instead totally obsessed and petrified that Rangers might actually win the Europa League.”
Willie Mercer, Dumfries, said: “At the start of every season it is a foregone conclusion either Celtic or Rangers will win the title.
“The same cannot be said for European competition, where it is lauded as a great achievement if any of them are still competing after Christmas.
“If Rangers will the Europa League, this can be viewed as a far greater achievement than winning the Scottish Premiership.”
Alfie Mullen, London, said: “When Celtic get over the line, it will be a hollow victory. They will be handed the title courtesy of dodgy decisions by officials.
“If VAR was in play, Rangers would be two points ahead in the league with two fixtures still to play. Rangers should be looking at a potential treble rather than a double.”
But Hoops fan Charles Buchanan emailed: “All of a sudden winning the league doesn't matter to some.
“They weren't saying that last season when Celtic had that many things to deal with.
“Let’s see what happens a week on Wednesday, nobody remembers runner ups but we will still be champions.”
Terry Reilly, via email, said: “Having a good laugh at Rangers fans going on about what is now the biggest trophy in the world, trying to cover up the fact they’re running scared from Celtic, who were expected to win nothing this year. Big Ange has only got started – another nine in a row on its way.”
Happy Hoops punter Ian Gallagher, Kirkintilloch, said: “Enormous credit must go to Peter Lawwell, the board and others involved for thinking outside the box by recruiting a top manager in Ange Postecoglou now that Celtic are back as the best team in Scotland after last season's failings. With the huge financial rewards from the Champions League the opportunities are there to continue the team's transition.”
Malcolm Nimmo, Dunlop, said: "I'm a Celtic fan and it is a good achievement for Rangers to get to the final but I would have the Lisbon Lions and Aberdeen’s win in Europe before anything Rangers can achieve.
“If it was the Champions League Final they were in then that would be up there.”
Hold on to your hats, some rivals are actually rooting for Rangers.
Eddie McGaulley, Cornwall, said: "I’m a Celtic fan but I’d rather see Rangers win a European cup than some German team I know nothing about.
“So congratulations to Rangers and I really hope you go out and do Scotland proud.
“Just being in the Final is a huge accomplishment for a Scottish team so go get them and show what Scottish teams can do on their day.”
And Hugh McKirdy, via email, said: “I'm an Aberdeen fan but good luck to Rangers in their Euro final.
“Ten years ago a lot of people had the knife out for them after their financial troubles so well done.”
Mind you, Dons fan Tam Bain, Desborough , said: “Reminder to Rangers fans, Aberdeen beat the mighty Real Madrid in an European Final – a much bigger fish.”
There’s always plenty on the hook on the Hotline .
