A group of students have been told to self-isolate after a teacher tested positive for coronavirus at a Swansea secondary school.
A total of 27 year eight pupils and one teacher from Morriston Comprehensive School will have to stay at home until Monday, November 9.
The school will remain open and other year eight pupils will be able to carry on going to school as they have been grouped in bubbles.
This comes a month after 177 pupils at the school were sent home after a year eight pupil tested positive for the virus.
A letter to parents said the school was working closely with Public Health Wales, the council, and the NHS Wales contact tracing service to ensure appropriate measures are in place to protect those at school and in the community.
All close contacts of the case have been identified and informed to self-isolate, according to the letter.
However as a precaution the school has asked parents to be alert if their child develops the symptoms of coronavirus:
- A new or continuous cough
- A high temperature
- A loss of or change to sense of smell or taste
In this case they should be booked in for a test and the school should be informed.
The child should self-isolate for 10 days from when their symptoms started and household members should self-isolate for 14 days after the child first developed symptoms.
