Morrisons shoppers hit back at new Halloween cookie over 'child-like' detail

Morrisons shoppers are starting to stock up on Halloween treats but one snack has left some divided.

Giant Halloween themed cookies have gained a lot of attention on social media after a customer shared their find on Facebook group NewsFoodUK. They simply posted images of the cookies with the caption: "New Halloween Giant Cookies spotted at Morrisons."

The post gathered around 200 comments with many tagging their friends and family. However, others were quick to slam the decoration and their was a recurring theme.

On sale for £7, the cookies vary in flavour with icing piped on top to give them a spooky touch. Amongst others, a double chocolate cookie has a gravestone or spider web piped on and shoppers can also get a choc-chip cook with either a pumpkin or the word 'boo' written on it.

Some weren't too impressed (FoodNewsUK)

One customer commented: "Looks like my daughter decorated these!"

Another asked: "Did kids make these?"

Tagging a friend, one said: "Look how bad the icing is."

And another replied: "£7??? These look terrible, no effort made!!!"

But not everyone felt the same with many tagging friends and family to get down to Morrisons before Halloween.

One said: "These look bloody good!!"

"How good do these look", another said tagging a pal.

A third wrote: "Oh my god I love these for Monday!"
