Morrisons workers and shoppers were evacuated from a supermarket following reports of 'smoke' in the store.
Videos shared on social media show fire crews arriving at the Swinton branch of the supermarket chain just after 12 noon, while a number of people can be seen stood around in the car park. Morrisons did not go into details about the cause of the incident but confirmed that an engineer was called to 'fix' the issue.
A Morrisons spokesman told Manchester Evening News: "I can confirm there was an incident at Morrisons Swinton this morning. The fire brigade and engineer were on site to fix the issue as soon as possible and the store is back open."
