Morrisons shopper approached by young lads when car wouldn't start

A woman has shared a message of thanks after a group of young lads "came to her rescue" at Morrisons.

The woman, whose friend took ill when visiting the New Brighton branch of the supermarket, reportedly had some trouble starting up her car when trying to leave. After spending time helping her friend, she believed her battery had ran flat.

A short time later a young man, believed to be named Mike, stepped in and kindly helped the woman start her car, allowing her to get her and her friend home safe.

She took to Facebook to share her thanks to Mike, and attempted to track him down. In a post she wrote: "Thank you to the lovely young men who came to my rescue in Morrisons car park tonight.

"My friend took poorly in store, I was trying to look after her and must have flattened my battery somehow.

"Mike, you and your fab friends got my car going, the people in the car park were just fab. Thank you for your help, we are so very grateful, we have just got home safe.

"We are forever in your gratitude you went above and beyond helping the way you did, thank you so very much."

The post received many comments with people commending Mike's behaviour. One said: "There are some fabulous people out there.

"I think since Covid our communities have really pulled together to help each other out. Well done guys."

While another added: "There are still a lot of kind people out there."
