Morrisons offering afternoon tea for £10 this Mother's Day in special offer

Morrisons is offering shoppers the chance to enjoy afternoon tea for two for just £10 this Mother's Day.

The supermarket has cut the price of its popular afternoon tea selection in cafes nationwide from March 13 to 19, meaning that customers can tuck into a selection of sandwiches, cakes, fruit scones and tea for just £5 per person. The feast is presented on a three-tier stand to give shoppers a "touch of luxury" for the special occasion without breaking the bank.

If you'd prefer to tuck into your afternoon tea at home, the selection is also available to order for collection for the same price. Simply head over to the Afternoon Tea page on the Morrisons website, choose which store you'd like to pick it up from and a time slot, and make sure to collect it within three days.

You can find your nearest Morrisons branch via the online store finder tool. Alternatively, if you'd rather put together your own afternoon tea at home, the supermarket has plenty of tasty options to choose from on the shelves including scones, cakes and tarts.

Morrisons is currently running a Cream Tea Bundle offer too, where you can snap up scones, clotted cream and jam - including those listed below - for a total of just £5 if you order online until May 31. We've picked out a few sweet treat highlights from the supermarket below which can be bought for just over a tenner:

Chris Strong, Morrisons Cafe buyer, said: "Treating mum shouldn’t cost the earth - that's why we're helping our customers by cutting the price of our popular afternoon tea for two just in time for Mother's Day. Customers can spoil mum with a selection of tasty sandwiches, cakes and fruit scones for just £10 - we look forward to welcoming families into our cafes to celebrate."

It comes after Morrisons announced price cuts to more of its own-brand products last month, including cupboard essentials, breakfast items and fresh products, to help shoppers with the cost of living. In addition, the retailer recently launched a two-course set menu in its cafes for just £8.99.
