Morrisons issues urgent recall on fruit products warning customers ‘do not eat’

Morrisons is recalling two of its popular fruit products over concerns that they could contain traces of salmonella.

The supermarket has warned shoppers who have recently purchased the Morrisons Mango and Morrisons Mango Fingers fruit pots to return them to the nearest store. Notices will be displayed at the checkouts in-store warning customers about the products , and anyone who returns the affected mango items will receive a full refund - you don’t need a receipt.

The recall is a precautionary measure by Morrisons to stop customers from falling ill amid fears that the fruit could be contaminated. Symptoms of salmonella include fever, diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, chills, headache, nausea and vomiting, The Mirror reports .
