Morrisons issues urgent recall for four chicken products over fears they contain glass

Morrisons shoppers are being urged to check their fridges for multiple chicken products over fears they have been contaminated with glass.

The supermarket giant has issued an urgent recall for four chicken items that can be found in their chilled section as they may contain small pieces of glass.

Wales Online reports that Morrisons has urged shoppers not to consume the products as the risk has made them unsafe to eat.

Instead, the store has urged customers to return any of the affected items to their nearest store for a full refund - even without a receipt.

Point of sale notices have been put up in Morrisons stores that lets shoppers know what products have been recalled and what they need to do next.

Morrisons has said: "No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure our customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standards of product quality and safety."
