Morrisons implements strict rule for anyone buying Easter Eggs in all of its supermarkets

Supermarket giant Morrisons has issued a strict rule that affects all shoppers ahead of Easter. This year Easter Sunday falls on April 9. meaning there's still a good few weeks left to go.

But supermarkets like ASDA, Aldi, Tesco, Morrisons, Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury's are already stocking up on Easter Eggs - much to the delight of shoppers. Morrisons currently has a 75p offer on pretty much all of its Easter Eggs which weigh between 96g and 128g.

As such, parents have been flocking to Morrisons supermarkets to get their hands on dozens of the 75p Easter Eggs while they're so cheap. It's undoubtedly a brilliant deal, and helpful to those struggling with the cost of living crisis.

Posting to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group, Liam Till shared a picture of the ten Easter eggs he’d bought for £7.50. He wrote: “Morrison’s 75p each don’t walk run [thumbs up emoji]”

Another bargain hunter commented: "I didn’t even leave my house I bought 34 online." While one disappointed shopper wrote: "Blooming heck! I just paid £1.25 for one of those Freddo ones from Asda!" The deal has seen shoppers buying in bulk for a bargain Easter. The offer is available to order online until February 21.

Facebook user Christine Ball shared a picture of her trolley loaded up with eleven full size Maltesers Easter eggs, six Aero Easter eggs, and three Cadbury's Buttons eggs - all for £15. She wrote: "Been there, done that yesterday."

One mum said that the Easter eggs were "suitable for small children". She wrote: "I got my son 6 to give him a hamper." Another shopper added: "The 128g ones are a definite bargain."

However, Morrisons has implemented a rule to stop people buying more than 20 of the promotional Easter Eggs to ensure everybody gets a fair turn. Responding to the limit on how many eggs you can buy on Facebook, Matthew Green said: "20 limit how’s that gonna stop stockpiling." Lyn Knight pointed out: "If people want more you just go in twice and to different cashier or self service."

Donna May said: "2 people go in from same family get 20 each ...... or go in twice yourself as your a new customer every time."

Keighley Andrews said: "I got 40 yesterday." Lyn Knight said: "If people want more you just go in twice and to different cashier or self service."

If you are looking to make the most of the deal, make sure you don't buy more than the permitted allowance, and allow others to benefit too. Morrisons has clearly put a limit on the number of eggs allowed per person for a reason, and at the minute, so many families are struggling - so remember that when you're next in Morrisons, if nothing else.
