Morrisons has upset parents with £2.50 kids' t-shirts for the King's Coronation

With the May Bank Holiday to mark the Coronation now less than a month away (it falls on Monday May 8), many people are on the hunt for outfits to celebrate the occasion. Morrisons has launched an entire King's Coronation clothing range, which includes matching dresses, T-shirts and outfits for kids starting from £2.50.

The Morrisons Coronation range features 'Mini Queen', 'Little Prince' and 'Little Princess' T-shirts for kids, which all cost £2.50, as well as a £6 kids' T-shirt which is adorned with London attractions like the London Eye, Big Ben and red phone boxes. For adults, there's a dress and t-shirt and trouser collection all in the same matching print.

Morrisons has seen a mixed response towards its bargain King's Coronation clothing range. While some shoppers love it, and can't wait to match with their family and kids at Coronation parties, others say it's a 'waste of money' while so many are struggling with the cost of living crisis.

A picture of the Morrisons King's Coronation range was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Group. Posting the image, Tracey Bayliss said: "Coronation Ready at Nutmeg Morrisons from £2.50."

The post has garnered a huge reaction from Morrisons shoppers. But after an influx of negativity, the comments have now been turned off.

Allan McWilliams said: "I think monarchy has run it's course. Costing the country a fortune while a lot of people are really struggling." Terry Bennett agreed: "Meanwhile, people are struggling to put food on their tables., yet will find money for this nonsense."

Nicky Rose Rosiini said: "No won't be watching, not interested at all." Emily-katie Smith said: "Yeah I'm not wasting money on clothes for [the] monarchy."

Nicola Broadwater said: "Errrr no thank you. Not my king!!!" Marie Rigby slammed: "Oh ffs what next."

Sam Flint joked: "Now the whole family can look like mortgage advisors." Bernadette Ward said: "What a waste of money."

Others, however, have praised the collection, and can't wait to get their hands on some pieces. Julie Knight said: "Really good idea and value too."

Catherine Cottier said: "I need the tops for the boys and a dress for me." Keeley Leigh Nolan wrote: "awww we can get matching outfits."

Angela Cornish said: "We need to get our outfits!!!!" Leanna Hughes added: "I like the boys stuff."

Kirsty Boardman tagged a friend, writing, "we could get matching dresses!!!!" Stephanie Edwards said: "Matching for our party."
