Morrisons chicken recall over fears that some products may contain glass

Supermarket giant Morrisons is recalling a number of chicken products due to concerns that they may contain glass. The leading grocery store has urged customers not to eat several breaded chicken products due to contamination issues.

Customers instead are advised to return the products from the store of purchase for a full refund - with a receipt not needed for the affected items. The Mirror reports that recall notices will also be displayed in store, as the products are pulled from shelves.

Morrisons said: "No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."
