Novo restaurant in Morpeth has had celebrities flocking since it opened last year, with its Sunday dinners earning quite a reputation and the venue already becoming a firm favourite with Newcastle United star signing Kieran Trippier.
Already with its own famous connection, thanks to owner Greg Lake being a former Geordie Shore star, Novo opened in the Northumberland town at the end of October with Greg, an original on the MTV show when it launched in 2011, telling ChronicleLive at the time: "The likes of London and Manchester have lush venues that offer something a bit different and I wanted to do that in Morpeth."
Since it opened a few months ago, Novo, on Wellway in Morpeth, has proved massively popular, serving up original cocktails, inventive food dishes and live music alongside its already much buzzed about Sunday roasts.

Greg said Sunday dinners were one of the biggest things he wanted to get right for Novo and the roasts have been eaten up by Newcastle United stars including Karl Darlow and January signing Chris Wood, who posted a photo of his Sunday dinner to Instagram, writing: "Quality Sunday roast," with keeper Karl also offering high praise for Greg and his team, writing: "Another amazing Sunday roast"
Chris, who has now scored his first goal for NUFC, isn't the only January signing to get in on the Novo action, with Kieran Trippier also posing alongside Greg on an Instagram post to day he'd had a "lovely night," at the brasserie.
Someone else who's had a night out at Novo is a celebrity Greg knows very well, his former Geordie Shore co-star Vicky Pattison who waxed lyrical about her trip there at the end of January. Next to photos of her food and her clutching a cocktail, Vicky wrote: "It was unbelievable... Food, staff, place- all super cute!! Oh and @mickyturney11 cocktails were just dreamy!"
Greg's ex, Hollyoaks icon Jennifer Metcalfe, who he has son Daye with, has also visited Novo. Alongside photos of her and Daye, the soap actress wrote: "The best Sunday having our boy showing me round daddy’s restaurant today."
