Morning Live's Helen Skelton 'emotional' over co-star as she returns to BBC show

Helen Skelton admitted she was feeling 'emotional,' moments into her return to Morning Live on Friday.

The Strictly Come Dancing star is no stranger to the BBC daytime show, having hosted it a number of times since making it all the way to the Strictly final at the end of last year. She even juggled presenting duties with the show's live tour, which she ended up winning alongside new pro partner Kai Widdrington, after Gorka Marquez turned down the chance to go on the nationwide jaunt.

Helen was back in the Morning Live studio at the start of a big day for the BBC, as it geared up to host the live Comic Relief fundraising appeal and one person playing a big role in the charity mission this year was her co-host Gethin Jones, who has already raised loads of money for the cause with his Keep Dancing challenge.

Helen gave a teaser for what was coming up on Morning Live and how Gethin was getting on, during Friday's BBC Breakfast, as the show crossed live to her in the studio. Looking at Gethin and placing her hands on his shoulders, she told him: "The nation is behind you, people have been watching all night; you've had people in cheers, they're cheering you on," before adding: "I'm getting emotional just standing next you, because he's broken guys, but he's doing it for a fantastic cause, a cause that helps so many of us."

Helen's return to Morning Live came as she has been linked to the new series of Celebs Go Dating, with producers said to be very keen to sign her up, to follow in the footsteps of Ulrika Jonsson, Joey Essex, Gemma Collins and Gary Lucy.
