A former Mormon missionary who says she was "sexually repressed" has quit the church and become a porn star.
Addie Andrews, who grew up in the US's Pacific northwest, left the church two years ago and began starring in adult films.
The 30-year-old says the turning point was when she wasn't able to be a bridesmaid at her sister's wedding, because the dress was considered "immodest" by Mormon standards.
Growing up, her parents insisted she was religious, but allowed her to choose her own church - so when she turned 17, she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

“The church took me in, was so welcoming, and wanted to do well by me,” she told the New York Post.
She had only had sex once before accepting the religion, and adhered to the church's rules against premarital sex, which she said led her further from her own identity.
For 18 months, she proselytized in a stateside mission, and she didn’t have sex again until she was 26.
“I was very sexually repressed! You’re essentially a nun, devoted to your religion for that period of time," she continued.

Addie, who was recently named Penthouse magazine’s “Pet of the Month,” said she was forbidden form being sexual or even watching movies with her family on the Sabbath.
After quitting the church in 2017, she moved to California to become an actress, but struggled to find work despite having a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University.
Instead, she tried her luck as an exotic dancer, where she says she was contacted by a lot of porn agents.

Finally, in January, Addie, who has more than 70,000 Instagram followers, linked with an agent and has had a lot of success in the porn industry.
er family have accepted her new lifestyle.
“I knew that they’d be a little shocked when I told them about my adult work,” she said.
“My brother said, ‘I will definitely never watch your porn, but you seem happier than ever, so I support your decision'."
