Celtic have made it two signings in one afternoon after Moritz Jenz completed a move to Glasgow on a season-long loan.
The Lorient defender spent last term in France's top tier but struggled to make a real breakthrough in Ligue 1 following his switch from Laussane-Sport last summer. Ange Postecoglou was in the market to add further reinforcements to his defensive ranks and has now moved to bring the 23-year-old on board ahead of a big season at Parkhead. Celtic have an option to turn the temporary move into a permanent stay.
The new recruit faces tough competition to break into the Celtic first XI with Carl Starfelt building up a strong relationship at the heart of the backline with Cameron Carter-Vickers - who has since joined on a permanent basis - but the Swede is still working his way back to full fitness ahead of the big kick-off. Stephen Welsh and Christopher Jullien are the other options on the book although the latter could yet depart after seeing a move to Bundesliga outfit Schalke break down earlier this summer.

The defender spent five years in the youth ranks at Fulham before departing Craven Cottage for a move to Switzerland in 2020.
He earned a move to France with Lorient last summer, featuring 20 times in all competitions as his club side finished the domestic season in 16th position.
But the German centre-back is now ready for a fresh challenge with Celtic.
The Hoops are aiming to make it back-to-back league titles this campaign and add to their domestic silverware haul while make a splash in the Champions League proper with the Scottish champions entering the tournament at the group stages.
