Swansea City boss Russell Martin has revealed he will hold crunch talks with the club before deciding Rangers target Morgan Whittaker's future.
The 22-year-old is keen on a move to the Scottish Premiership and Michael Beale has spoken openly about the forward, who had impressed on loan at Plymouth Argyle in the first half of the season before being recalled by the English Championship side. However, he has not had any game time since ending his spell with the League One club and Rangers are keen on a deal.
Rangers are understood to have seen an opening bid turfed out by the but negotiations remain ongoing behind the scenes at the Liberty Stadium. Martin had admitted he could like outgoing players to be moved on as soon as possible, and will hold talks today with chief executive Julian Winter and head of football operations Josh Marsh over who is set to leave the Welsh outfit.
Following FA Cup defeat to Bristol City, Martin said: "We've rejected bids for Morgan and Michael (Obafemi), as you know. I'll meet tomorrow (Wednesday) with Josh and Julian to get an update on everything, but no, as far as I'm aware, that's about where we are at really.
"Hopefully, ideally, a line gets drawn under that at some point very soon. But it's January so I don't expect it to until the 31st of January, which isn't very helpful to the players or to us really. I think the only people it really helps is agents. I think you know my thoughts on the January transfer window and what it entails. But we'll have to wait and see."
