Alfredo Morelos has suffered a blow after new Santos boss Pedro Caixinha officially recalled him from his successful loan in his Colombian homeland and ordered him to report to pre-season training today.
The ex-Rangers manager took charge of the Brazilian giants last month and was given time to evaluate his squad for the new league season starting next month.
Morelos helped Atletico Nacional to a league and cup double and rediscovered his scoring touch by netting seven goals in 18 starts.
He was pictured enjoying his celebrations last week by riding a horse around a Colombian city on its main street and made clear that he wanted to remain at the club.

However, he still has two years to go on his deal at Santos and has been ordered to return to report to the club's pre-season base which starts today.
And Morelos is set to be in their squad for their first match of the season - in the Campeonato Paulista on January 16 against Mirassol.
Nacional are expected to try and make another loan offer for the 28-year-old, but Caixinha has made clear he sees Morelos as a big part of his plans for his new job.
