Manchester City Under-18s boss Ben Wilkinson believes his side can get even better after their victory in the FA Youth Cup on Tuesday.
City's latest batch of talented prospects advanced to the fifth round of the prestigious tournament with a 4-1 victory over Brighton. Despite the snowy conditions at a freezing Academy Stadium, goals from EDS regular Will Dickson as well as Joel Ndala, Nico O’Reilly and Ashton Muir dispatched the Seagulls.
The victory has set up another home tie in the fifth round against either Fleetwood or Middlesbrough. While impressed with the display, Wilkinson believes there is even more to come from his young side.

“I thought we played some really good stuff at times and created more than enough chances but there is room for improvement,” he told City's in-house media. “We’ve got another home draw to look forward to and playing anyone at home we are more than happy.
"It’s been a good start and we're in a position in both groups (Under-18s and EDS) where we can compete on all fronts. We’ve said if we can be there or thereabouts at Christmas then come January it is time to kick on.
“There are loads of games to come but if we can keep this momentum going then we are in really good place for the rest of the season.”
