Merseyside Police issued 87 tickets to cars causing obstructions on roads in Liverpool and Sefton on Sunday, April 17. Officers said the 'inconsiderate' parking was forcing people to walk in the road instead of on the pavement.
Pictures shared by Merseyside Police show cars parking with two wheels on the pavement, leave no room for people, prams or wheelchair users to get by.

In a post on Twitter, the force's Road Policing Unit said: "Pavements are not for parking. It's inconsiderate and causes pedestrians to go into the carriageway, or walk between parked cars. If you can't park on the road, don't use the pavement."
People replied to the post commending the officers for their "great work".
