A senior South Australian corrections officer allegedly linked to a paedophile ring is now facing more child sex offences.

Stewart Iain Berry, 38, had been charged with several offences, including producing, possessing, and disseminating child exploitation material and indecent filming.

The South Australian Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team arrested Mr Berry in March 2021, along with former South Australian Labor staffer Ben Waters.

Mr Berry was due to enter a plea on Tuesday but the Adelaide Magistrates Court heard six more charges had been laid against him, including maintaining an unlawful sexual relationship with a child in Adelaide's north between 2017 and 2020.

He has also been charged with two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17, inciting an indecent act by a child, and possessing child exploitation material, between 2017 and 2020 at Salisbury Park and Port Lincoln.

The court has previously heard Mr Berry engaged in sexually explicit communication with another person online, and that he was alleged to have sent two links to cloud storage accounts containing child exploitation material.

Police searched his Salisbury Park home, where they allegedly found covert cameras and video files of adults bathing and children in various states of undress at his home.

Mr Berry has been remanded on bail to return to court in June.
