Cars were left submerged on Monday (April 10) after a spell of heavy rain caused a notorious south Manchester road to flood yet again.
Pictures showed the moment drivers were caught in the water beneath the railway bridge on Crossley Road, in Levenshulme, after the region was hit by showers on Easter Monday.
The problematic road hit headlines earlier this year when it was blocked off by fire crews who were forced to wade through the water and rescue two people who had become trapped when their cars became submerged.

And in 2021, drivers fell victim once more to the dangerous conditions on Crossley Road, with some becoming stranded and others filmed struggling to drive through the floodwater following Storm Barra.
Photos taken on Easter Monday appear to show a red Mercedes stranded underneath the railway bridge. However, the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue confirmed they were not called out to any incidents.
The rainfall, which came after days of warmer temperatures, caused road chaos elsewhere in Greater Manchester on Monday (April 10), with congestion on the M61 and M60 and lanes closed after the carriageways had become flooded.
The region is set to face fierce weather this week with gusts of more than 40mph winds predicted to hit the city-region in the next couple of days. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds in parts of the west with some disruption expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
