“Moon Knight” star Oscar Isaac has seemingly confirmed production on a second season of Disney+ series “Moon Knight” is underway thanks to a viral TikTok uploaded by user @hayaattiaaa where Issac is seen alongside series director Mohamed Diab.
When asked directly about the prospect of a second season of the show in the video, Issac cryptically teases, “Why else would we be in Cairo?”
Disney has not officially confirmed a second season of the show, which ended its original six-episode run in May, but this development likely means that an announcement is in the works for the upcoming D23 Expo, which kicks off Sept. 9 in Anaheim, California, and features several panels and events related to Marvel’s upcoming projects.
If production is already underway as the TikTok video suggests, that means a new season could be ready for release as soon as next year.
“Moon Knight” would be the third Disney+ Marvel TV show to get a second season, after “Loki” and “What If..?” which were both renewed last year and are expected to premiere new episodes in 2023.
In the immediate future, the next Marvel show Disney+ subscribers can look forward to is “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” which debuts later this month on Aug. 18. Like other Marvel shows, new episodes will be released weekly.
