Monthly tarotscopes for all star signs during Gemini season

Welcome to Gemini season, one and all. I’m using the Mesquite Tarot again this time around, because it’s a beautiful, subtle deck and seems to work really well for the ‘scopes.

I don’t know what the odds are, of 6 out of 12 signs having cards from the Major arcana this month, when there are only 22 in a deck of 78, because I’m no mathematician, but it strikes me that it must be statistically significant! This feels like a time of change and big energies for lots of us, so I hope that you’re able to be kind to yourselves over the coming weeks.

As ever, read your own sign, but also feel free to borrow from the others if they feel relevant too – and scroll down to the bottom for a discount code if you’re thinking of booking a reading or tarot tuition with me. Have a wonderful month and I’ll see you here again in June.

Gemini – IV of Swords, VIII of Pentacles

Happy solar return month Gemini, I hope that it’s a good one for you. Interestingly, the IV of Swords has come up for you again, after being your card for the month back in April. Have you been allowing yourself adequate rest, between all of your essential tasks? Sometimes we can look – even to ourselves – as though we are relaxing, when we are actually running through all of the things on our to do list, or repeatedly turning over an issue in our heads.

Over the coming weeks, try to notice yourself doing that, and firmly ‘put down’ any rumination, take a deep breath and allow yourself to fully relax, releasing any physical tension and focusing on the sensation of that, even if just for a moment. If you only manage to do this once a day, whilst making a hot drink or in the shower, that’s infinitely better than none, but the more you do it, the more benefit you will gain.

On another note, it might be helpful to remember that you can only do one thing at a time and that progress builds on progress. Whilst it is important to have a plan and to be chipping away at it, focusing on the task at hand wholeheartedly, is likely to bring better results – and greater peace of mind – than flitting from one thing to another. This applies whether our flitting is mental or actual – or both! It’s a discipline, but one worth pursuing.

Cancer – III of Cups

Connection, connection, connection! This is your theme for the month ahead Cancer. If you’re already blessed with a lovely network of beautiful people, this is a time for seeking them out and enjoying time together. If you have a sense of lack in this area of life, it’s a time for seeking a remedy for that. In either circumstance, covid has changed so much for so many of us, it might be worth revisiting what has changed, why and what might need to change for the better now.

Leo – Student of Arrows

There are times in our lives when it is really important to get things right, and then there are times when perfect can be the enemy of good. This might look like not getting a thing done unless we can do it perfectly, but it can also mean holding ourselves and/or others to unrealistic standards. If this a theme you recognise Leo, it might be helpful to embrace the concept of ‘good enough’ and to think about where any perfectionist ideas you have come from – do you really believe them, or might you be able to make adjustments?

Virgo – Justice

Some people think of ethics as being dull and dry, others think of them as being obvious and hardly worthy of thought. Both may be wrong, as a life that is lived in alignment with our values brings many rewards. This month it might be helpful to reflect on what you believe your own ethics and values to be, and what that means to you Virgo. Paying particular attention to fairness, honesty and transparency and your relationship to them may reveal areas of beauty, growth and possibility…

Libra – VI of Arrows

It’s rare that we can navigate a period of transition from one state to another, without spending time in the liminal space in between. Whilst this may be uncomfortable, inconvenient or painful, it’s an essential part of the process. It’s also an opportunity to see both where we have come from, and where we hope to get to, from the perspective of being outside of both. If we choose to really engage with this, we may gain helpful insights which could otherwise be missed. Where might this be true for you now, Libra?

Scorpio – Wheel of Fortune

Sometimes we push against a door and it’s so open and ready for us that we almost fall through it. Other times we push really hard and it stays resolutely shut. Then there are all of the in-between situations, where we knock and the door opens, but it feels a bit grudging, or maybe we’re not sure whether we want to go through after all. The message for this season Scorpio, is to joyfully accept the easily opening doors, not to try and force the firmly closed doors and to trust your gut on all of the rest!

Sagittarius – IX of Wands

It’s natural to feel bruised by negative experiences, whether at the hands of others, ourselves or circumstance. It’s important to be kind to ourselves when we need it and to learn from our experiences. But it’s easy to go on to avoid similar situations – even when they may be of benefit – or to form beliefs about our worth or abilities that aren’t accurate. Putting oneself outside of the game for a while, taking a period of reflection is fine, but try to notice, and act, when it’s time to let yourself back in, Sagittarius.

Capricorn – The Tower

‘This too shall pass’ is a helpful reminder when things are going well, to really appreciate that and when times are tough, it can help us to remember that they won’t stay that way forever. Another good one is ‘you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs’. Sorry for speaking in clichés, Capricorn, but this is all to say that sometimes things can get a bit rough, or we can feel that we’re losing more than we’re gaining, but it might just be that space is needed for the new stuff, which is just around the corner.

Aquarius – The World

Even in the midst of all of the unfinished business, uncrossed to do lists, mundane mistakes and failures, best intentions not acted upon, projects in progress but not completed…we are all complete and perfect in our imperfection. Is that a reality you can step into and fully inhabit this month, Aquarius? Christians might describe it as all of us being “God’s children”, but my agnostic interpretation is that we are all worthy and deserving of love, security, a full belly and the feel of the sun on our skin.

Pisces – III of Wands

We know in our hearts when it’s time to embark on a new course of action. Sometimes this brings big, outwardly obvious changes – moving house, having a child, a career change – but other times it can be more subtle, an inside job. Either way, if your gut is telling you to begin Pisces, then don’t delay! The only way we can find out if something is right for us, or we’re capable of it, or if it will bring the results we desire, is by putting ourselves out there and having a go – good luck, and have fun!

Aries – Strength

The word ‘courage’ comes from the Latin for ‘heart’. The Buddhist definition of fearlessness isn’t not to not feel fear, but to act skillfully in spite of any fear we may have. This is a time for being wholehearted and choosing to do what you know to be good and true, even when that feels difficult Aries. It’s the difference between wearing a badge that proclaims our commitment to equality, and actually asking if the person being bullied on the bus is ok or challenging the casual prejudice we see in our workplace.

Taurus – Judgement

Sometimes being forgiven by someone gives us the opportunity to put down our burden of guilt. Other times we have to give ourselves permission to forgive ourselves. It is possible to carry guilt, regret and shame a long way, but those difficult feelings only serve us – and others – insofar as they help us to learn from our mistakes and do our best to mend the things we break. If there are things you need to grant yourself absolution for Taurus, consider this your permission slip from the universe.
