Thiruvananthapuram: A 30 year-old man has tested positive for monkeypox, the fifth case of the virus from the southern state.
He came to Kerala from UAE only last month.

Health Minister Veena George on Tuesday said the man had arrived at the Calicut Airport on July 27 and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Malappuram district.

His health condition is said to be stable.
Incidentally, the first patient too was from Kerala who had recovered and was discharged. The condition of others is stable.
