A monkey has grabbed headlines after cheekily adopting an adorable four-legged companion.
Usually, dogs are meant to be a man's bestfriend. But this time it was a macaque monkey from Bangladesh who was head over hills for the adorable pup.
Incredible picture captured in Dhaka show the loving primate picking up the tiny canine and wandering of him through the forest, the Telegraph reports.
He appears to give it a stroke and a cuddle, while putting the puppy on its laptop, before whisking it up into the tree tops.
It's not the first time mischievous monkeys have grabbed headlines.
Just this month one handsy primate got a bit too close and personal with a Peruvian model in Bali.
The monkey brazenly slapped model Paula Manzanal, who has a son with her ex-boyfriend British 'Ex on the Beach' star Jordan Davies, after the primate tried to pull down her strapless top.
She was left shocked at the monkey's antics which took place at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Bali, Indonesia.
It was captured on video and the 28-year-old posted the clip on social media where it has gone viral with 300,000 views and 135 comments.
The Peruvian model, who boasts 2.2 million Instagram fans and 2.1 million TikTok followers, said: “I only wanted it to not touch my...”
In the clip, Paula is seen standing over the monkey, reportedly a crab-eating macaque - also known as the long-tailed macaque, as it sits on a fence in the sanctuary.
The cheeky monkey appears to be stroking the model’s bust before trying to pull down her strapless top for a closer look.
When Paula goes to lift up her slipping black top, the monkey wipes her nose, forcing her to turn away, fortunately, unhurt, and with a smile on her face.
One follower commented: “He definitely knew what he was doing.”
“Hahaha, I didn't want to laugh but it did make me laugh. The good thing is that it didn't bite you, greetings from Iquitos,” said someone else.
