'Money talks' - David Moyes makes Michail Antonio West Ham transfer admission amid Everton links

David Moyes insists he has no plans to part ways with striker Michail Antonio before the transfer window closes.

The West Ham United forward has been linked with a move to Everton in recent days as the Goodison Park club look to bolster their attacking options. The ECHO has long reported that the Blues were keen to bring in two new attacking players this month.

However, no new faces are yet to arrive, although Ellis Simms has returned from a successful loan spell at Sunderland. As well as Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and clubs in Major League Soccer have also been credited with an interest in the 32-year-old.

But speaking after his side’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Derby County on Monday night, a game in which Antonio scored West Ham’s second, Moyes was quick to shoot down any suggestions that his forward could depart.

He said: “Money talks in football everywhere but at the moment, no, I’d say there's no chance.

“Let’s be fair, there’s probably prices for every player around the country but at the moment, I don’t think there’s any price we are interested in taking for Mick. I’d probably say no to that.”
