Money saving expert shares how families can visit theme parks for less this Easter

With the Easter holidays in full swing, many families across the country will be planning days out that won't break the bank this year.

As the cost of living crisis continues to make many tighten their budgets, it might seem quite difficult to find day trips for the whole family to enjoy for less.

Which is exactly why a money saving expert has shared a simple shopping hack that can get families into some of the country's most popular attractions by purchasing cereal.

The money-saving guru from Martin Lewis' MoneySavingExpert.com has shared how families should look for promotional packs of Kellogg's branded cereal on their next weekly grocery shopping trip.

kellogg's promotional deal is available until June 30 2023 (Kellogg's)

Selected Kellogg's products can offer an 'adults go free' voucher for 29 Merlin attractions across the country - including Alton Towers, Legoland and Chessington.

Many popular £2 - £3 family cereals and snacks feature this offer, including Coco Pops, Corn Flakes, Crunchy Nut, Rice Krispies and Nutri Grain Bars.

These cereal packs can be used at one of the Merlin attractions as a 'free adult ticket' once full-price 'on-the-gate' child or adult ticket - which usually costs around about £60 - has been purchased.

The money-saver explained: "Effectively this is a 2for1, as you'll need to buy a full-price adult or child ticket to get the free adult entry.

However, this can actually work out better than a 2for1 if you’re going with a child as children's tickets are generally cheaper than adult ones at many attractions, which is the case at Sea Life, Chessington and Madame Tussauds."

Kellogg's says that families must pre-book their ticket in advance and bring your original on-pack voucher when you visit the attractions, as it will have a 10 digit code to be used for the offer.

The Kellogg's 'free adults' ticket deal is available until June 30 2023, meaning you have plenty of time to organise your next family trip.
