Cost of living savings: Boots, Costa, Greggs and Cafe Nero among our six top deals of the week

Grab a bargain or find a freebie with our weekly round-up of the best deals to save your cash.

With families feeling the pinch as the cost of living crisis bites, there's no better time to watch the pennies with our six Chroniclelive cost-cutters, all correct on 22 March 2022.

1. If you're in the running for new sportswear, it's worth checking out VoucherCodes, where there is a code for 25% off most full-price items online at Reebok, up for grabs until March 31. Delivery is free if you spend over £25, £3.99 for under £25. The code only works on full-price items, such as Club C 85 trainers for £48.75 instead of £65 or a Victoria Beckham Hoodie at £119.50 instead of £159. The code will also take a further 15% off already-discounted clearance items, such as the C Club Revenge trainers, reduced to £45.50 from £70, then down again to £38.67 with the coupon code.

2. Kids' favourite Beano is still a popular read with old and young alike, but did you know you can get a digital comic free every month? If you go online to Beano, you can download its Golden Beano comic totally free, each month. Golden Beano is a collection of comic strips, puzzles and jokes from its archives over the last 80 years and you can download or print it and it'll be yours to keep.

3. You can get a free drink art Caffe Nero Monday-Thursday every week if you are a O2 or Virgin Media broadband customer To get yours, you will need to download the Priority app on your smartphone, and show the app-generated code to staff at the checkout. The code gets you one of a selection of drinks such as latte, cappuccino, hot chocolate or tea, but some of the fancier drinks are excluded from the offer. You can only redeem the code once every week, after 10am, and the offer resets every Monday.

4. If you've got DIY or gardening plans coming up for Easter, you might want to look at the B&Q Club. It's a free loyalty scheme, and you can get a voucher for £5 off a £30 spend when you sign up. You'll be emailed the voucher which is valid for use both online and in stores. Each voucher will have its own end date, depending on when you sign up. The voucher can be spent on anything except gift cards, installation and delivery charges, and bulk buys.

5. Get ahead for Christmas (sorry!) at Boots, which is still clearing its stock from Christmas 2021, with some great bargains to be had. Stock is hit and miss in stores, so it's probably best to look online to see what's still available. The Save 60% on Selected Gift Sets caught our eye, with the Jack Wills Beanie Gift Set at £80 (reduced from £20) and the Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Collection beauty set at £16.80 (from £42) looking perfect to tuck away.

6. Finally, did you know you can get a free cupcake, doughnut or cream cake for your birthday if you download the Greggs app? You will need to register for the Greggs Rewards loyalty scheme, and you will get a voucher on the app to redeem in store for up to one month after your birthday.
