TWELFTH NIGHT (NAP) can take centre stage in the 6.10 at Windsor on Monday and make up for a near miss on his handicap debut over six furlongs at Yarmouth last month.
The Archie Watson-trained three-year-old was headed a furlong out by Lil Guff but battled back to be beaten just a short head.
Previously, over the same course and distance, the son of Haatef easily saw off a small field of five to beat Masterclass by two-and-a-half lengths.
A reproduction of either performance will see him thereabouts in Windsor's six-furlong eventmasters.co.uk Handicap on Monday, even with his 3lb rise. At Lingfield, SIR HENRY COTTON (3.00, NB) is fancied to follow up last week’s success at Windsor by landing the Sky Sports Racing 415 Handicap.
Andrew Balding’s three-year-old showed a game attitude when landing the nine-runner handicap over five furlongs.
He was hard pressed throughout the final furlong but held on to beat Lovely Mana by a short head. He is proven at Lingfield, having won on the course in March when he defeated Sixth Street by a neck, and he is expected to record his fourth victory of the season this afternoon.
