Tractors 'block road' amid 'protest' over rising fuel costs as motorists stuck in major traffic delays on A92

Apparent fuel protests have sparked traffic chaos on a busy Scots road. Two tractors have been reported as driving at 'a snail's pace' and holding up commuters on the A92 before the Charleston Junction in the Aberdeenshire area.

Local farmers are believed to be behind the protests, reports Aberdeen Live. Transport bosses have described the event as a 'police incident'.

Young Scots man left unconscious in sea after horror gang attack on holiday

A young Scots man was left lying in the sea unconscious after being badly beaten and hit with a brick in a horror gang attack on the first day of his holiday.

Lewis Thomson was in Croatia with four of his pals when they were savagely attacked and chased by a group of around 20 men on the beach in the early hours of Friday morning.

Lewis, from Grangemouth, became separated from his mates in the Split area while they tried to outrun the vicious thugs but he took the brunt of the attack when he was caught.

Ibrox stars teamed up to share memories of Andy Goram in one of his favourite pubs as they “tried to process” his death aged 58. The former players, along with loved ones of the legendary goalkeeper, raised a glass to him after he lost his battle with cancer.

Goram died at St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie on Saturday, weeks after being told he was terminally ill. Former Gers team-mates John “Bomber” Brown, Charlie Miller and Gordon Durie joined his son Danny and close friends Stan Gordon and Baz Gilmour to raise a glass in his memory.

Spider-Man star Tom Holland got an unlikely marriage proposal after making little Faye Taylor’s dream come true. The Hollywood actor took a break from filming to give a message to the nine-year-old, who is battling cancer.

Faye responded by saying she wants to marry the action star – and offered him a bag of sweets. Tom gave Faye, of Wishaw, Lanarkshire, a video tour of where he is staying.

DWP dismisses calls to give disability benefit claimants £650 cost of living payment which starts next week

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has responded to an online petition calling on the UK Government to give all disabled people and unpaid carers the £650 means-tested cost of living payment which will be paid in two lump sums starting from next week.
