A crime boss who fled to Iraq after an attempt on his life is feared dead.
Kamaran Khader’s friend told how he disappeared after a string of threats.
Khader, who headed a £28million cigarette smuggling ring, fled to Iraq after a gunman fired at him in Greenock in May, 2020.
The assassin missed and the bullet hit a parked car.
But Khader’s friend fears whoever gave the order has managed to finish the job.
Khader, 40, was arrested in Iraq along with three pals over firearm offences.
Masked gang raid Scots home and steal luxury Audi from terrified family
A masked gang raided a family’s Aberdeen home and made off with their luxury motor.
The shocked family were woken by the trio, who broke into the property on Morningfield Road at 4.30am on Monday morning.
Dressed in all black, they stole sets of keys from inside the house before trying to break into the garage.
Two men drove off in the family’s Audi A4 Allroad, registration number H16ARR, which was parked in the driveway.

Allana Luke said she has found true love with her 56-year-old fiancé Jeff Winn, who owns an 11-bedroom mansion.
The couple have been loved-up since their second date to Marbella where Jeff bought the ex-travel agent a pair of diamond earrings for her birthday.
Allana says her mum compares their romance to the film Pretty Woman, reports the Mirror.
She added: “There’s no denying Jeff looks much older than me, which can cause people to roll their eyes when they see us.
“They automatically assume I am just another girl after his money.
Serial Scots rapist jailed just days before dies in prison
A Scots serial rapist has been found dead in an Edinburgh prison just days after he was told he would face a lifelong restriction order.
Stephen Charters, who was previously a worship leader, was jailed for five years last Monday.
Charters was found guilty of abusing multiple women over the course of three decades.

Her GP took bloods and while some of her levels were “a bit odd” none suggested she had anything majorly wrong.
She began to get jaw pain and neck swelling and got a referral from the doctor.
