Mayo face a difficult trip to face Monaghan on Sunday afternoon a week after their Allianz League opener against Donegal.
The Green and Red hit five unanswered late on in Sligo to earn a draw from the weekend, and will hope to go one better in Clones this time around.
But they may have to do it without forward Tommy Conroy, who was helped off the field with a knee injury on Sigerson Cup duty with NUIG on Tuesday night.
Monaghan also come into it off the back of a draw in Tyrone, with the conditions meaning both sides could only manage nine points a piece in what may prove a dress rehearsal to a later summer clash.
