A video clip has captured the moment a Wales supporter sang his home country's national anthem on Tuesday night - as crowds of England fans booed in the background.
Fans turned out in huge numbers to the Road to Victory fan zone at Depot Mayfield, eagerly awaiting the England v Wales match on Tuesday (November 29). The fan zone is Europe's largest World Cup fan park, with capacity for over 6,000 guests and Europe's largest screen.
Harri Rawlings, originally from north Wales told the Manchester Evening News that he had been unable to get tickets for a fanzone more local to him, so decided to travel to Manchester to watch the match.
Reporter Ethan Davies captured the moment Harri was seen singing Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau on Tuesday night. He could be seen 'belting' out his home country's national anthem and appeared unphased, as the fans around him booed before God Save The King was played afterwards.
The Manchester Evening News remained at the bustling purpose developed park throughout the match to capture all the reaction from the thousands of fans.
The two home nations met for their final group B fixture on Tuesday night, with hordes of fans having made the trip to Qatar and millions more watching back at home.
An initial impressive victory for England over Iran was followed up by a 0-0 result with United States, which means England are currently sitting top on four points from two games. The Three Lions currently top the group and need just a point to guarantee their progress to the knockout stages, while Wales must win and hope for a favourable result between Iran and the USA.
