Moment students finally open locked cellar door - and are stunned by creepy discovery

A group of friends finally decided to open up a locked cellar door in their property, which had so far remained a mystery for them - and they were shocked by the somewhat creepy discovery.

Media student Midge, from Indiana in the US, shared the unusual College house discovery on TikTok - and her friends think they know exactly what it is.

In one of two recent videos about the discovery on her TikTok account @mediabymidge, the student shared: "Our cellar has been locked ever since we moved in and you'll never guess what we found inside."

She later explained that because it's a rented house and the cellar was locked they assumed it was a storage space for their landlord, and hadn't dared to venture inside.

Midge filmed as her friend went inside the creepy-looking cellar, which had an entrance from outside the house, and other waited cautiously outside.

Her friend walked straight into a spiders web, but after they deemed the place clear, the rest of the friends entered to explore the spooky section of the property.

After looking around, they quickly realised it was a "old frat setup", complete with murals on the wall of popular animated characters such as the Smurfs.

There was also what looked like an old bar inside, with an empty can of Red Bull still sitting on the counter.

There was also a white door lying on the floor, with the rest of the room looking very run-down.

Upon closer inspection, one of the friends found out that the setup was from December 2007, almost two decades ago.

One of the friends simply said "Dude," while Midge later added: "I didn't see any of this coming."

Hundreds of people commented on the video, with many offering suggestions for what they should do with the space.

One person said: "Make it into a hangout space," while another added: "Turn it into a tiki bar with string lights and neon lights."

A third agreed, commenting: "Y'all should clean it and put lights and hangout in there."

Others couldn't help commenting on how creepy it looked, with one person saying" "This is how scary movies start."

While another said: "I would have been too scared to open it."
